1001 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37203
All aboard! Take a trip into the past by visiting Nashville’s famous landmark, the Union Station Hotel. Originally built in 1900, Union Station operated as a train station for 79 years and became a center for travel and commerce in the mid-1900s. After the decline of public transportation in Nashville, the station closed and eventually was renovated into a luxury hotel in 1986. Nashville’s beloved landmark was thus restored to its historical beauty and preserved its staggering architecture.
The castle-like architecture of the Victorian Romanesque Revival style features towers, arches, and external stonework designs and stands as a historic treasure of downtown Nashville. Rivaling the impressive exterior, the interior of the hotel transports its visitors to the age of railways in addition to its beautiful stained glass windows, a barrel- vaulted ceiling, marble floors, limestone fireplaces, and chandeliers. The conversion of the station into a hotel allowed for a unique design and modernization of the rooms to give all visitors a luxury stay. The hotel is complete with a restaurant and bar, a fitness center, spa and salon, tennis courts, a business center, and luxury services.
